Most people associate linen with summer, but it’s actually a fabric that can be worn year-round. Here, I’m wearing a linen overshirt in the heart of a New England winter. The key to incorporating linen into colder months is thoughtful layering.

I started with a cozy, thick rugby-style base layer and finished the look with a wool coat on top. Linen is one of my favorite fabrics, and discovering new ways to wear it throughout the year is something I genuinely enjoy. If you’ve never tried linen beyond summer, this is your sign ✨

She wears tortoiseshell Quay aviator sunglasses and a cream-colored rugby-style top with a pointed collar. This is layered under an open sage green linen button-down shirt and finished with an outer heavy wool shirt jacket featuring a large tan and cream plaid pattern.
