The best style secrets are the ones that don’t scream for attention. 🤍

I am really not a fan of flashy, logo-heavy bags, which is why I fell for this American Leather Co. piece. It features a quiet mix of black and muted beige, allowing it to behave as a total neutral anchor that gives a gentle contrast to an outfit without overpowering it.

A few reasons why this piece has easily become one of my favorites:

  • The versatility: Most people just see an understated colorblock bag, but my favorite trick is unclipping the straps to transform it from a shoulder slouch or a backpack into a long crossbody.

  • The metal mixing: I purposely paired a silver belt buckle with gold accent sunglasses. Yes, it is totally acceptable to mix metals! The trick is simply balancing the visual weight so it looks intentional.

  • The subtle contrast: It easily grounds an outfit—like pairing a green pointelle tank and cream straight-leg pants with a utility black linen jacket—without needing a loud logo.

If you love finding these versatile pieces but want personal guidance, that is exactly what we do during our time together. I don't just do closets. I take my clients out shopping to source the perfect pieces for their goals, and then we do a full wardrobe integration to ensure everything mixes and matches effortlessly.

Michelle wears gold aviator sunglasses and a gold ring alongside a black leather belt featuring a prominent silver buckle. Her look is completed with a green pointelle knit top, a black button-down linen jacket, and a neutral beige American Leather Co. handbag.
